Tanner Speed Academy CEO Carsten Effertz recently visited Roseline Bui Andersen in Wolfsburg, where the young Norwegian talent has been playing since moving to Germany last summer.
But for Tanner Speed Academy, Roseline’s story in Wolfsburg is just the latest chapter of a relationship that began several years ago.
Roseline has been training with Tanner Speed for the past four to five years. This has given Carsten the opportunity to follow her development from a young age and support her through important stages of her football journey.
Over the years, Roseline has regularly worked with Tanner Speed during training sessions in Norway. She has also travelled to Gothenburg several times for individual training, looking for new ways to improve her speed, performance and overall game.
Today, Roseline is a highly promising young player with plenty of potential. Her move from Norway to Germany marks another important step in her development – but it also brings new challenges.
Moving abroad at a young age means much more than adapting to a higher level of football. It means adjusting to a new country, language and culture, getting used to a different club environment, and being away from family and friends.
That is why player development at Tanner Speed Academy goes beyond speed training and performance on the pitch.
When you work with young players over several years, strong relationships naturally develop. We want to stay connected, follow their progress, exchange experiences and be available whenever they need support or advice – both on and off the pitch.
For Carsten, visiting Roseline in Wolfsburg was therefore about much more than football. It was a chance to see how she is settling into her new environment, hear about her experiences and continue a relationship that has grown over several years and across different countries.
From training sessions in Norway and individual work in Gothenburg to following her progress in Wolfsburg – this is what long-term player development means to us.
Developing speed is an important part of the journey. But so are trust, consistency and staying connected as young players take the next steps in their careers.
